This book was a page-turner! From the first chapter, I was all in. The story plays out like a movie—I could see every scene in my head, and honestly, I hope it gets turned into a series one day- Netflix, where you at? The main character, Mya Yu, is a strong Black woman, which you don’t often seen in sci-do/fantasy. I loved how real and powerful she felt. She carried the story with heart and fire. Lera Bishop’s writing is full of imagination and creativity. It’s original without being hard to follow—blending a unique world with stakes that still feel real. Doppel Paladin is such a solid start to a series. I can’t wait to see where the story goes next and how the characters continue to grow. If you’re into fantasy with rich storytelling and representation that matters—do yourself a favor and grab this one!

This is my first time reading this genre, and what a great introduction! I love the strong female lead and the fact that this story has so much depth.

Just finished Doppel Paladin and loved it! It's a complex story with many dynamic characters but it is also very easy to follow and read. Really enjoyed the strong female lead and supporting characters. Highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys dramatics reads with alot of depth while being able to pick it up and read with ease. Looking forward to more books in this series!
